GALLERIE Of Bags Made By @mers
All these bags were made during the time I was working for a Group of companies until my retirement as a corporate zombie two years ago. They were my stress reliever aside from the potted tomatoes, cukes and bell peppers I grew. By the time I reached home after dinner, I would talk to my container plants, :-)) isn´t that weird?!!!.....and while movie streaming, I crocheted bags one at a time. At that time, I felt relaxed when coming home, with my mind far away from my Büro Arbeit (office work). At any rate, I cut the bag parts on weekends and hand quilted them while watching Netflix or Amazon movies or listening to the music of Jason Mraz or Randy Crawford.
Except for the left bag in lila which is machine quilted, all 3 bags above were hand-quilted by me . The fringes or pleated strips were time consuming so I had to make them in advance such that they are ready to be sewn and fixed on the top edges of the bag. One bag not included here was made of black and white toile de jouy fabric, hand quilted ordered and was sent to Spain for my german girlfriend. The other two (top left and below left) were orders from New York and the one on the right was bought by a special lady who gave specifications of the bag size.
As for the crocheted bag, some of them were done during train rides to work. I had been busy during the half hour train ride and it was astonishing to note that one could finish a project by simply sitting in the train and do crochet works. I have done this in the past when I had a long train ride and even finished 4 tablecloths.

For this toile de jouy machine quilted bag, I have not decided yet whether I would offer it for sale because I was thinking of using it myself in Summer. It can be worn with a white blouse and a pair of blue jeans. Well, it´s worth thinking to offer it for sale ...although I can easily make the same again.

Really nice bags! I love anything quilted and useful! Those look really good and great that they were a stress reliever! :)
