DIY Penholder for your desk
Hi there everyone, today I got another DIY for you. Seeing as I am learning to become a teacher, I thought about things that you will need on your table in the classroom. What better to decorate your table than with a pretty decorative pen holder for you desk, you can use this at home or at work because you always have pens and pencils laying around the place. The pen holder will keep the space tidy and neat.
First what you will need is
- an empty food can , I took the label of my can by letting it sit in warm water for a while
- a piece of coloured paper
- scissors
- 2 way tape
- decorations
- ribbons
- glue
- pencil and ruler
First you are going to take your coloured paper and the tin can and measure it to find the right place to cut it so that you don't have any edges sticking out. Mark the place you want to cut.
Then you measure it on the tin can to see if it fits nicely
Then you use your 2 way tape and put pieces of it onto the edges of your coloured paper, my 2 way tape was bought in little pieces already but you can also put one long piece if you choose to do so, or you can also use tiny bits, its all up you.
Then I pasted the paper onto the tin and held it a little while to make sure that the tape sticks properly.
Then I got my ribbon and measured it around the tin so I can paste it at the back.
Then I got my little flower decorations and pasted them onto the ribbon
Then I got my rhinestones out to put a little rhinestone on each of the flowers.
Then you have your end product!
I really hope this tutorial was helpful ! Please if you have any questions or tips please let me know.
