Finished foyer and hallway

Wow what paint and trim can do. Here is what we have done so far in our house. At first when we first started painting with the new color I thought oh my what have we done? Then as we progressed we were both so happy with our decision. Here is before and after pictures.

Here we sanded down the walls to make smooth, made a shelf over the opening and painted

The hallway was a lot of work we fixed and repaired and painted all the doors and door frames
Replaced all the trim with new
Sanded and smoothed out walls
Then we painted

The foyer was my husbands favorite project and he is most proud
Here we replaced all the trim and put white trim around door and window. We wanted to pop the door that is why we used larger trim around the door.
We put a shelf in the opening over the ledge
We re trimmed with trim and a quarter round then painted both so we could reuse the flooring it was pulling back and looked awful around the edges.
Then we painted the walls
Added new lighting
Got rid of the white board which ran along the wall
I am totally amazed at how this all looks. The only thing is the uglies of the house now really look ugly. I stand in the hallway look one way and say wow I look the other way and say ugg. We will keep you posted so please stay tuned.
