(DIY) Build a Pergola For Your Garden (DIY)
If the garden is your favorite part of the home, then surely you spend it looking for ideas that you can make in it to make it an even more dreamed space.
In addition to having a vegetable garden and a flower garden, you can build shady areas in your park to sit down and read a book, drink tea or simply enjoy nature.
The pergolas are one of the most suitable options for those who seek to create a new space in their garden, which is perfect with the plants and looks very beautiful.
Materials
4 poles of 4 x 4, 7 '6.5 "feet (Approx 2.15 meters)
2 beams of 4 x 6, 12 'feet (3.75 meters)
8 tables of 4 x 6, 8 feet long (2.30 meters)
11 pieces of 2 x 4 x 6 feet (1.8 meters)
4 straps of 2.6 feet (80 centimeters)
8 angular pieces (45 °) to decorate (optional)
Process
- Get the pieces for your pergola. Choose a wood that resists being outdoors. Or you can, for example, treat it with a natural method to protect it.
-Fix the 4 poles on the ground, with a distance of about 80 centimeters (the length of your braces) on the sides, and 3.75 meters (12 feet) long. Remember that you can modify all the measures depending on your needs
-Depending on the floor on which you want to ride the pergola, these special pieces may be useful for fixing the posts on a concrete base. You can get them at a hardware store.
-Fix the beams on the posts. Then, fix them with the planks that will also make covers for the beams.
-Place the braces to join each side of the pergola. First fix the straight ones, and then add the decorative pieces you want.
-Finally, place the top pieces. You may need a ladder.

And ready! A great idea is to let a grapevine or some other climbing plant grow on your structure.
