Distinctive Doors - The Chrysler Building NYC
It's been a while since I have posted a distinctive door, but I was in NYC recently and as I was walking around I remembered this tag and project started by @tattoodjay. So when we passed the Chrysler building and I saw the entrance to the building I couldn't help but take a shot. Its certainly distinctive! They do not build stuff like this anymore.. in fact ever! This is a one of a kind, unique design and it was just stunning.
Lets zoom out for a second:
look at that.. how cool! I love the color and shine.. the reflectiveness and I am sure it was intentional... the feeling that its somehow made from the same material as a car.. which it probably was given it the building was built by Chrysler! Who maintained an apartment on one of the top floors.

I love that building and those doors, funny thing is I am not sure I have ever taken photos of them LOL
lol! You should! Also, you should take a minute to go inside, it is truly stunning. The ground floor foyer is truly one of a kind. I will post my shots from inside tomorrow.. but it is worth going to see it for yourself. It's beautiful.
Ohh yeah I have passed through the foyer many times it is such an amazing building

Not as good as I would have liked, I came into the city early and it was almost dark enough but not quite I need to get some ND filters I think

It can be tricky but with the winter months coming in and the sun going down earlier you might have more opportunities :)
I hope I adjust to the cold and layer up to try some more in the city before daylight savings ends :)
Just pop into the uniqlo store of 5th avenue and get yourself a thermal undershirt, they are not expensive an truly the best on the market. I have a few and wear them daily here in the winter! keeps me toastie ;)
