"The science and art of rainbows"
A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that results in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It typically occurs when sunlight is refracted, or bent, by water droplets in the atmosphere, causing the light to split into its component colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. This process is called dispersion, and it's what gives a rainbow its distinct arc shape and vibrant colors.
