I agree. I'm not so much into Star Wars myself, but it is crazy how many Star Wars movies have come out since Disney acquired them. The MCU is where I can comment on.
I've gotten burned out on the superhero genre in general because it's become such a common commodity now. I find myself getting tired of the MCU now. I don't like feeling like I need to see every single movie in order to know what's going on. That why I liked movies like the Guardians of the Galaxy ones. For the most part, both of those films feel like self-contained stories.
It's almost worse with the Netflix shows. I've seen them all and I've loved them all. However, it is a little annoying feeling like I can't go from season one of a show into season two without watching season one of another show that's supposed to fit in between them.
It's cool that the MCU exists. It's mindblowing to see Marvel pull this off without too many issues, but it has caused a superhero overload across the board with everyone trying to make their own superhero franchises on top of it all.
