Massachusetts: Massive confiscation of private property

They Have a list
...........................................................................................................................................................................

  • In its infinite wisdom, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has made the sale or possession of a bump fire stock or trigger crank a crime. They sent a letter to gun owners — of whom they have a list — giving owners of said devices 90 days to turn them into police. Without any financial compensation.

    They have a list.

If they can confiscate an oddly shaped piece of plastic...what else can they confiscate?

Are you on a list? What might they want from you?

CryptoCurrency perhaps...or gold?

few years ago government imposed tax on firearms here , it was so high people just could not afford to keep guns

slavery via a different means..

never ending slavery

They'll get away with this, until somebody has the money to take them to Supreme Court for it.

Ever feel like an Indian in the late 1800's just waiting for them to come and take what they want now?

only when I'm awake.

All governments hate "indigenous" people... because they govern themselves and stop following people who prove themselves to be idiots, tyrants, thieves, etc.

If "our government" held up it's agreement then "the united states" would not exist in its current form.

There is a reason that people who tried to join the native americans received extremely harsh punishments... self governance is the opposite of government and would make it obsolete.

I've heard of 'running away to live with the indians'...but I was of the impression that i was early on. BEFORE the american revolution.

I'm not 100% on that count. I know that there were many instances of people deciding to go live with the indians rather than live under british rule.

I'm not sure whether that continued to happen after the american revolutions but I'd suspect that it did happen here and there... at least until the last tribes were rounded up and slaughtered and/or "reserved".

My note on holding agreements was related to all of the treaties that were made with the indians and invariably violated by the those holding power soon afterwards.

I've considered going to live amongst the indians where I grew up as I qualify for tribal membership (just barely). Unfortunately those near where I grew up are starting to look more like our forms of government every year.

back in the day I met a 'tribal member' when I was trucking.
He said that he'd rather drive a truck than live on the rez.
odd that?

I don't think they could confiscate crypto, because it doesn't really exist.

I don't expect they'll let minor details like that stop them.

Massholes...

Sounds shitty. They're just gonna drive more of an underground market for weapons. Maybe that's the idea.

On the bright side, you're allowed to have some guns. We're not allowed them without jumping through all kinds of licensing and checks (England).

too bad about England.
I heard it that at one time the citizens had freedoms.

Yes, but I think our freedoms were mostly in our minds. They've been telling a lot of porkies to us here for a while too. At least we can still get raw milk without breaking the law though, so that's a bit of consolation. We just can't defend ourselves effectively if there's an armed attacker. Let's hope any potential burglars are armed only with spoons. :D

I understand the part about spoons. No problem with knives though cause they've been banned I hear..

lol yes. Our authorities think we're not ready for knives and the like, in case we hurt ourselves or something lol.

Doesn't stop us from having them. We're just driven to source these things on the underground market.
