#DiscoTuesday ! Let me introduce *CHIC* - Disco-Funk Group
Hello to all of you on one of last spring Tuesdays! On steemit I discovered another musical series denoted #discotuesday, for which creation thanks to @musicgeek! use this hashtag the first time, but that's because I did not know about its existence. I am happy about this initiative because since I was a kid I'm in love with disco music and I have a lot of music to share.
Let me introduce CHIC!
Founded in 1976 by guitarist Nile Rodgers and bassist Bernard Edwards, the group was only a few months away from success. Released in 1977, the debut album "Chic" brought the first of many hits of the formation, at which millions were raging on the dance floors.
The second position in Chic - "C'est Chic" from 1978 was even better. One of the band's evergreens, "Le Freak" comes from this album, which reached the top of the "Billboard" and sold on the single in six million copies.
the third CD from the presented list "Risqué" appeared in 1979. At that time, Edwards and Rogers became highly-regarded composers of hits for other artists.
The next albums - "Real People" (1980) and "Take It Off" (1981) - did not have such commercial successes. The disco era has ended. But despite this, for years there has been a niche that savor the sound of disco. Throughout the world, for many generations he lives and let us hope will live for centuries.
