@DISCORDIA | The Genesis Of A Voting Robot - - - - [Includes New Animations From Myself]
ALL LIQUID SBD$ FROM THIS POST WILL GO TOWARDS HELPING @DISCORDIA GROW
Greetings followers. I would like to share with you all some good news. This is far from the kind of thing I usually post but I like to try and help support the minnow community when and where I can. I've put this post together, which includes some of my own original @discordia promotional animations, to let everyone know that this voting bot is now alive and kicking and ready for some upvoting. So without further ado I'd like to introduce you to....
This little bot is only 3 days old and is still trying to find it's way around, so give it a little time whilst it learns how to walk and talk properly in this ever changing Steemit environment it was born into. At the bottom of this post I shall explain the simple process of bidding for upvotes from this bot.
To celebrate the birth of @discordia and to welcome it to Steemit.com I have created some simple animated graphics to help promote it. These will evolve over time as I get more feedback from the community and as the rules are modified and updated.
Here is a selection of .gif images I made using a variety of simple animation techniques.
Next is a small selection of .jpg designs. The first 2 images are the perfect size and dimensions for the feed thumbnails.
Whilst @discordia is still learning its rules can change from time to time as they get tweeked and modified by its master. Currently the rules are as follows:
No minimum bid, the price is entirely determined by demand.
Each round of voting now lasts for 1.2 hours.
You're bidding for 0-50% vote weight at 100% vote power from @discordia.
A chance of a followup vote on posts from @ausbitbot that has over 75,000 Steem Power.
A potential followup vote , follow and resteem from it's master @ausbitbank who has over 350,000 SP.
Comment self voters are not eligible for @ausbitbot or @ausbitbank votes.
Posts must be newer then 6 days and 12 hours to get a vote (blockchain rules).
So how do you send a bid?
You can bid for a vote by sending Steem Dollars to @discordia with the url of the post you want upvoted in the memo field illustrated in the image below.
Working Out Potential Payouts from @discordia
Here is a vote calculator that'll give you an idea of how much you could potentially earn from using @discordia. Currently @discordia has around 11,000 Steem Power. As we can see from the screenshot below the total possible reward from @discordia at this time would be $1.07. This bot has only been going for 3 days so each time it's used it gets stronger.
Initially any profits generated from @discodia will go directly back into its Steem Power to make it stronger. As it gets older and more powerful it'll start splitting the profits evenly between the various other Steemit and Minnow Support initiatives @AusBitBank is involved in.

Remember ultimately there's a human behind all of this that's had to spend time writing, implementing and tweeking the bot to optimize and update its payment mechanisms in this rapidly changing Steemit environment. You can read a complete run down of the updated rules, including further explanations, in this latest post from @discordia.
I'm growing quick , and the rules just changed again! - @discordia
Since my last update I've been watching usage and have decided to make a few more tweaks to make the most of my quickly growing power. I've received over 4200+ SP in the last 24hrs , and I have new ~1980 SP bid outstanding in the minnowbooster SP market thanks to another kickstarter donation from my master @ausbitbank !
For your convenience the rules are regularly updated in the bots homepage description. So to get the most enhanced experience from @discordia it's always worth checking before using it.
So, if you like what you see give it a try, and help the community in the process.
Animations
If you like these little animations and would like some custom made for your steemit account I am open for commissions and quotes. If there is a lot of interest then I'll set up a second Steemit account for my animation work.
Nice!
I will test, I like working with bots, profit is not sure but it helps to grow more reputation power. I upvoted and follow you. Thanks
Yes. Every little helps.
Thanks

Hello kyawsantum! Can you tell me where to go to learn to write bot code? I want to write a bot that will periodically go through all posts during the last N days select texts with certain key words I specify and put their URLs on page for my future use.
I am an experienced programmer, though from a very different field of programming. However, if I could find tutorial material on syntax rules, etc., and examples, I think I could get to the point of writing a working bot.
P.S. I am willing to pay for help.
Thanks in advance.
As Promised
Hey man, thanks for all you do for the community. I know that these endeavors are a labor of love. And they take time! Lots of time to put together. I'll use the bot every so often. It is a great way for a budding Steemian to get some exposure to more of the community, which could result in more followers and more interaction. Pretty neat!
As far as the logos and GIF's . . I dig them. Cool concept. Simplistic design. The thumping and bouncing images fit with the name of the bot. I would definitely be interested in having a custom one made for myself. Let me know how I would go about doing that.
I haven't been here that long, but I'm working hard at it. A custom footer would be fantastic. I haven't done any type of coding in a long time, so I imagine creating all of the bots code takes a fair amount of work.
Thanks but I didn't create the bot. It was the work of Steemit wizards. I just thought it was worth promoting to help the community.
Sure I'd be happy to work something out for you. There are 2 ways to do this you can either:
Choose a design from a selection of pre-made animation templates and I'll personalize it with your name etc | 10 Steem
I create you something custom made designed and animated per your art assets and specifications. | 25+ Steem
Hope this helps. Thanks again for your comment.
@fortified
Appreciate all of what your doing for us minnows!
I'm definitely going to try to win a bid, once I save up a little more SBD! Discordia is Bae!
lol
Yes give it a go. familarize yourself with the bidding rules and and process and you'll be fine. The isn't a minumum to use @discordia at the moment btw.
Good luck
@forified
No minimum? That's all you needed to say haha! I'm going to take advantage of some good ole early adoption haha
HA. Yes start small and get an idea of how it works etc and it should be nice and rewarding for you.
Thanks
@fortified
Thankyou for heaps for these I'll definately make use of them ! Resteemed , very slick work :)
No problem. It's a pleasure. If there's changes or if you'd like anything else just give me a shout.
This post gets a 7.96 % upvote thanks to @fortified - Hail Eris !
It was weird sending this link to you @discordia. It felt like some kind of weird inception.
EDIT: Thank you
Thanks for sharing, great post
❤ ♡
Happy to give you a shot buddy!
Wow this is awesome! I have a question, does amount of SBD send affect outcome of vote?, thank you!
Yes. If you bid to low in a round were losts of people bit higher than you then you could miss out on a reward. This is the risk and reward gamble you take for using it. If you keep an eye on the the different variables and rule changes you it can be quite lucrative.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
