Masternodes. It is the brainchild of Dash. Masternodes is the same as holding a bitcoin wallet node, retain a copy of the whole blockchain in order to have a full stable and secure network. But, unlike Bitcoin, Dash Masternodes incentivizes its users a percentage of the block rewards to encourage them to "hodl" the masternode collateral. Masternodes includes “Private send”, “Instant send” and a feature called “Mixing”. Mixing allows a certain amount of coins to be “mixed” amongst a number of other nodes so anonymous sending will be possible. This would provide a “no trace” to whom the coins came from.

In addition, a feature called the Governance system has been setup to give voice to the said holders. When a proposal or suggestion is submitted, the Governance system acts as the way to vote "YES", "NO" or "Abstain". As per of the feature, the votes will be cast by the # of coins sent by the holder. This also acts as the funding for the proposals. Proposals may vary from a charity or to a designed upgrade/update or change within the blockchain.
Dinero is a fork of Dash. In it, the source code for the Masternodes and Governance system has been put in place. At the time of launch, Masternode features have already been enabled. For the Governance system, it will go live at Block 162000.
