The DIGITAL life of you and me

Looking back on my history of communication , 20 years back I sat behind the sofa communicating on a phone that was plugged into a wall ,organising plans to see friends the night before and knowing that the following day that was what I would be doing with out fail or change . The moment I left the house I was out of reach till I got that destination and low and behold everyone was there . Planning seemed easier as there was no need for you to confirm on a invite page to say you accept . No fear that just maybe there would be a cancellation . All you did was show up and enjoy . We now at the age where everything that fast changing that you potentially have to be connected just to ensure that you reached the right page , know who is and is not going . Before you get there you already know what's happening as photos or videos are being uploaded by the millisecond.

We live for our phones but we don't live for ourselves , we live to take that perfect selfie but don't live for the joy of being there . That selfie is now a proof concept that I was here terminology where we don't remember like we use to . Back in this non digital days you could sit back years on relive the whole moment through your memory whereas now we have to say "wait... I posted something on facebook " we have become so infused into our phone screens that we really do not look at the world as it should be viewed .. we more concerned at what filter would make me look better in that picture . A picture has become such a common thing and we take them for granted , take them as just as the norm pappardelle to sitting a looking at old photos in a photo album and laughing about that day .

We are slowly becoming digital in a world that just wants us to live ... we don't live . We just post that we are living and hope to get our followers and friends to like it's . Life as stands is about how many likes you can get on that filtered photo that you cropped so that you perfectly photographed on a device that made you miss the world beauty .. made you miss the world . But hey ... you got likes and a thumbs up 👍🏻
