Gypsy Thoughts – Steemit: Using randowhale…if….LATE !
Hi Friends,
first of all – it will be a little more quiet here the next days as I started with friends a project to help unseen content get better rewarded ( @fairvote – your support is welcome ). I will write more about soon !
Thinking a lot about strategies here on steemit, what makes sense, what not. The problem is, that the conditions are changing very fast and a strategy, what you created yesterday not work today anymore – for me that is one of the exciting things here on steemit :)
SO – I had the plan to write a post about @randowhale - does it make sense to use or not, tested the performance on sending upvotes to comments, prepared a calculation sheet and and and..
But meanwhile we saw the value of our posts and comments decreasing by 20% a day ( you can find an good explanation why, here at this ..POST... ), randowhale changed its vote% and and and..)
Next to this, the value of such upvotes also depends on the exchange rates from Steem Dollar to Steem Power and guess what, that exchange rate is within a wide wide range within just 2 days. So it will happen for sure that sending the upvote gives a value the moment you send it, and have no value the day it pays out ( even if it is just 1 day before payout)…
So not really much to say than - before I was going to tell you that my conclusion is, that it is likely there is no value to send @randowhale to your post ( only if it is boosting your article to be seen by more people, what I think also not work well :) ). But I can’t tell you, if this is still my conclusion for NOW…LOL
Finally for that we experience at the moment I would at least say, if you use the @randowhale upvote, use it on posts, you did 5 or 6 days ( you must send at least 12 hours before post is closed ! ) ago, that the lost in value is just for a short period. The same applies if you are upvoting yourself, do it on 5 or 6 days old comments or posts !
Happy Steeming !
