Diferencias de tamaño
El megalodón o megalodonte, nombre que significa "diente grande", derivado de los términos griegos es una especie extinta de tiburón que vivió aproximadamente entre 19,8 y 2,6 millones de años atrás, durante el Cenozoico. Fue considerado como uno de los mayores y más poderosos depredadores en la historia de los vertebrados, probablemente tuvo una influencia muy importante en la estructura de las comunidades marinas de su época. Aquí por ejemplo la diferencia en tamaños entre un Megadolon y un Tiburón Blanco de la actualidad.
