Ghana's President Call for the diaspora to return to Ghana

Call me biased. I see this as nothing more than a publicity stunt and a small money grab. For every black American who travels to Ghana s/he will probably spend a few thousands of US $$$. Americans who love this romantic notion will realize how privileged they are as Americans and will return back to America at the rate of 99.99%. Yes, I do have ancestry going back to Ghana.

Some of the major issues black Americans will face is tribal affiliation in Africa. This will be a deal breaker for many. Also, culturally black Americans are not accustomed to the corruption and inefficiencies of Ghana. This will drive them crazy.

In closing, why do you think many Ghanaians at escaping across the Sahara and the Mediterranian Sea to enter Europe or coming to America by the thousands? Ghana is sinking due to corruption, etc.
