Diablo 2 Horadric Cube Recipes.

I have written up a list of all of the Horadric Cube recipes that I have used whilst playing D2.
The Horadric Cube, found in Act II in the Halls of the Dead Level III, is a magical cube that is used to transmute items into other items.
It can be used for upgrading gems, runes, items & also for socketing items or re-rolling the stats on items.
The cube is used during Act II for transmuting the Staff of Kings & the Viper Amulet into the Horadric Staff. The Staff is then placed onto the Alter of Kings in Tal Rasha’s Tomb where you fight the Act 2 boss, Duriel.
The Horadric Cube is found in Act 2 in the Halls of the Dead Level III. You will find the cube when completing the quest 'The Horadric Staff'.

The Cube is also necessary in Act 3 to transform Khalim’s body parts and flail into Khalim’s Will. Khalim’s Will is used to smash the orb and to fight the Act III Boss, Mephisto.
The Cube takes up 4 inventory spaces and if you right click on it, it holds 12. This makes it useful for extra inventory space when you are not using it to transmute items.
Only one cube can be held at a time, and if you lose it, you can get another one by going back to the Halls of the Dead and clicking the gold chest.

If you have completed the difficulty, the cube can also be used to open the Secret Cow Level by transmuting the Wirts Leg found in Tristram and a Tome of Town Portal.

Here is the list of recipes.

3 Magic Rings = Magic Amulet.

3 Magic Amulets = Magic Ring.

2 Quivers of arrows = quiver of bolts.

2 quivers of bolts = 1 quiver of arrows.

1 spear & 1 quiver of arrows = 1 stack of javelins.

3 rejuvenation potions = 1 full rejuvenation potion.

1 Strangling Gas Potion + 1 Healing pot = 1 antidote pot

1 Perfect Skull + 1 Rare Item + Stone of Jordan = Reroll stats on a rare item.

3 Perfect Skulls & A rare item & Stone of Jordan = Add Socket to the rare item.

1 Hel Rune & Scroll of Town Portal & a socketed item = removes gem/rune that is in item.

Wirts Leg (found in Tristram) + tome of town portal = secret cow level (you must have finished the difficulty and be in Rouge Encampment)

The Cube can also be used for upgrading any gems/runes that you find whilst playing the game.

3 chipped topaz = flawed topaz

3 flawed topaz = topaz

3 topaz = flawless topaz.

3 flawless topaz = perfect topaz.

This works for all the gems that you find whilst playing Diablo 2. This works for runes as well. Below are the rune recipes.

3 El runes = 1 Eld Rune

3 Eld = 1 Tir Rune

3 Tir = 1 Nef Rune

3 Nef = 1 Eth Rune

3 Eth = 1 Ith Rune

3 Ith = 1 Tal rune

3 Tal = 1 Ral rune

3 Ral = 1 Ort rune

3 Ort = 1 Thul rune

3 Thul & chipped topaz = Amn rune

3 Amn & chipped amethhyst = Sol rune

3 Sol & chipped saphire = Shael rune

3 Shael & chipped ruby = Dol rune

3 Dol & chipped emerald = Hel rune

3 Hel & chipped diamond = Io rune

3 Io & flawed topaz = Lum rune

3 Lum & flawed amethyst = Ko rune

3 Ko & flawed saphire = Fal rune

3 Fal & flawed ruby = Lem rune

3 Lem & flawed emerald = Pul rune

2 Pul & flawed diamond = Um rune

2 Um & topaz = Mal rune

2 Mal & amethyst = Ist rune

2 Ist & saphire = Gul rune

2 Gul & ruby = Vex rune

2 Vex & emerald = Ohm rune

2 Ohm & diamond = Lo rune

2 Lo & flawless topaz = Sur rune

2 Sur & flawless amethyst = Ber rune

2 Ber & flawless sapphire = Jah rune

2 Jah & flawless ruby = Cham rune

2 Cham & flawless emerald = Zod rune

There are more cube recipes if you bother to look them up but these recipes are the only ones that I have found useful.
Upgrading runes is very useful, specifically in single player, where you are unable to trade with other players and you have to do run after run trying to get a specific high rune to drop.
