Chalk It Up -- My Daily Fantasy Basketball Journey Vol.17
We had a big 10-game slate yesterday.
For value picks I looked at the Brooklyn Nets who were thin with three injuries to Rondae Hollis Jefferson, Trevor Booker, and Jarrett Allen. I immediately went with D'Angelo Russell the leading scorer for the Nets. I also wanted DeMarre Carroll who has been playing very consistently. And finally Allen Crabbe.
Another piece of big injury news was that Joel Embiid was ruled out. That left a huge scoring void for the Philadephia 76ers. I knew I wanted Ben Simmons who would benefit both on scoring and rebounds. I then took T.J. McConnell who would also benefit with Embiid out.
I then decided to take the other side of the ball in Rudy Gobert who would have an easier matchup.
For my lone stud I wanted Kristaps Porzingis who was seeing high usage numbers.
I then filled in the last spots with Jerian Grant and Rodney Hood who were both cheap and had upside.

I ended up in 88370th place out of 119048 entries.
This was probably the worst performance for any of my entries so far this year. D'Angelo Russell and DeMarre Carroll really hurt me considering how thin the Brooklyn Nets were.
I went with a more balanced lineup instead of a more stars and scrubs lineup which ended up hurting me.
Total Profit for 17 Days: -$8.31 -$4.00 = - $12.31 Loss
