Basic programming course: Lesson #1 - Summary
Creado con canva
This first lesson was crucial to introduce people to the world of programming and make them see that, despite being something complex and that requires time and practice, it is totally possible to learn to program. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of participation received, in addition to the comments and support from Steemit Inc and each user, it is a pleasure for me to be teaching something that I am passionate about.
There were 35 participants, where only one (1) of them did not pass due to suspected use of artificial intelligence, the rest got a score higher than six (6) points by successfully passing the lesson. Here are the participants:
As this course is really simple for people who already know how to program, I have decided that I will not repeat winners throughout the course, that is, if you are nominated once, you will not be able to be nominated again, but you will be able to continue competing and receive votes from the curators (not guaranteed). I do this in order to give more people the opportunity to be recognized for their effort.
Having said this, this week's highlights are:
Congratulations to everyone.
Thanks, Professor. It's been a pleasure. I hope I will have enough energy for the upcoming weeks. I did enjoy 1st week, and I know I can expect no less in the weeks that follow.

"Congratulations to all the winners. I wish there were more winners so that others with average grade could be part of it and encouraged as well.
I think it would have been better if other students were not mentioned here. Not all of them will see this on the Steemit site, except those who will be curious to check the results, just like in tertiary institutions where some students constantly check the board to see the outcome.
By "part and parcel," I mean, how can other students be encouraged to participate, especially those who are new to the programming course and tried their best?
It's good that you mention us here. An average student will see this as an opportunity to improve and aim for high grades."
I really enjoyed your course, you started in a way that I will be carried along and I am ready to learn.
