Daily Devotion: We will do everything the Lord has said

Exodus 19:8 NIV
The people all responded together, “We will do everything the Lord has said.”

In the relationship between the people of Israel and God there were many ups and downs.

In some ways we might describe their relationship as being "complicated" not because of God but because of the way the Israelites responded to God.

But in today's verse we read that the Israelites response was one of consistency, uniformity and obedience.

Because of the right responses to God the Isrselires had a unique encounter with God that in verses that followed led to them receiving the ten commandments which is one of the important portions of the scripture in the word of God.

Today as a young person you have an opportunity to encounter God, you have an opportunity to encounter him in a way that you will never forget, you have an opportunity to encounter God in a way that will have a lasting impact on your live and cause you to postively impact the lives of others around you.

But God is looking for you to follow the example of tbe response of the people of Israel.

He is looking to you as a young person to set yourself apart from the world, to be someone who is uniform, consistent and uniform in their relationship with God.

God is promising us today that if we begin to change our responses to him he will give us life changing encounters with him.

Are you ready to change and respond correctly to Him?!
