The Paradox of today's world

Hi there, in today's post I just want to emphasize a topic, that for me has become recently a huge mistery. But what it's going on here ? Lemme explain.

So you perhaps know, who has invented the light-bulb, right ?

Correct, Thomas Alva Edison. Quite young does he look on the image, doesn't he ? It's the time when he drafted on telegrafs.

Ok, suppose you knew the answer. Now another question, who has invented the steam engine ?

It was James Watt, cool right. Perhaps you knew it.

Now do you know who has invented the Internet ? HTTP ? TLS ? SSL ? Who invented the first programming language ? Do you ? Do you perhaps know who invented the SHA-256 ?

Do you know who Linus Torvalds is perhaps ?

Well I will confess here. I don't know, the inventors of one of the most powerful technology I'm currently using. And to be honest, I feel kind of bad with it. We were at least given only a small bunch of inventors to know, who impacted the world with their inventions.

In my opinion these people have done much more to the society, by creating and then handing them weapons, which indeed is the internet than any other people before with all due respect to the inventors from the past, coz it would not be possible to be obtained without their work possibly.

I'm just writing this post, because indeed we see great software, applications and on the main page we don't see the heroes of making the thing actually work, The Developers. We see a grining faces of the C-executives with their description of hard work motivation etc.

I'm not saying it's wrong, but I personally see, how the role of a developer is undermined, although it shouldn't be like that. The CEOs can organize their businesses so that they are almost flawless, but alone the CEO would not be able to maintain the infrastructure.

I have been looking on the histories of the most successful people and it seems that we forget to praise the heroes of the actual work, which are in case of Software-development the developers theirselfs, scientists and likely many more people. Media for instance attach the badge of the whole success to a single person, but this single person would not be able to achieve it alone. Though.

With this post, I just want to spread awareness that it's sick, we are living in times, where we know who fucked whom and who slept with whom, but we don't fucking know the people who have built an absolute masterpiece called internet, I'm developing. And I personally think, that looking only on the success of certain enterpreneur, without considering people, who indeed worked for him is genuinely unfair.
