EU imposes new billions on Google

The Internet company has to pay 1.49 billion euros because of competition violations. According to the EU, Google has abused its power position in the online advertising market. The US company has prevented by restrictive clauses in contracts with websites of third parties that competitors could place advertisements on these pages, the EU Commission said. Accordingly, Google has now stopped the illegal action.
