Someone is standing before a regulatory judge. He says: "The worst thing a person can do to another is to force him to do something."
Unfortunately, there are perhaps too few "adults" who possess the goodness to lovingly force people to let well enough alone.
Immediately the Magna Carta comes to my mind. England Twelve hundred fifteen. Decentralization thanks to numerous landlords against the total ruler. He could not be re-elected or pansioned. He could only consent or die. Whereby not even that was certain. But he was so "reasonable" and agreed.
For a time free people were free people again. To what extent these were not all people should be clear to us today. But where has all the anti-discrimination brought us when we can no longer DIFFERENCIATE between doing and not doing?

Steht einer vor einem Ordnungsrichter. Sagt er: "Das schlimmste, was ein Mensch einem Anderen antun kann, ist ihn zu zwingen, etwas zu tun."
Es gibt vielleicht leider nur zu wenig "Erwachsene", die die Güte besitzen, Menschen liebevoll zu zwingen, sowas zu lassen.
Sogleich kommt mir die Magna Carta in den Sinn. England Zwölfhundertfünfzehn. Dezentralisierung dank zahlreicher Landbesitzer wider dem totalen Herrscher. Er konnte nicht neugewählt oder pansioniert werden. Er konnte nur einwilligen oder sterben. Wobei nichtmal das war sicher. Doch er war so "vernünftig" und willigte ein.
Eine Zeit lang waren freie Menschen dann wieder freie Menschen. Inwiefern das nicht alle Menschen waren, dürfte uns heute klar sein. Doch wohin hat uns all die Anti-Diskriminierung gebracht, wenn wir nicht mehr UNTERSCHEIDEN können zwischen Tun und Lassen?
