Unprepared
One's own efforts determine one's own destiny
This film is adapted from the autobiography written by former NFL player Michael Lewis. He was born in a slum and lived a life of purgatory with no future. After returning home, I changed several families one after another. Until he met the Tui family who regarded him as his own, with the care and love of his new family, coupled with his unremitting efforts, he successfully won a scholarship to enter the American football team of the university.
The movie is straightforward and easy to understand. There is no miracle in Mike, but he is on the road to success with his own efforts; his new family regards him as his own, and the family affection across skin color is also very moving. But the fly in the ointment is that the author thinks that the movie changed his life story too dramatically, which is somewhat different from the real one. Interested readers are also recommended to read the original book and watch the movie together.
