Depression
Depression is a weird disease. The only way to really understand it is to go through it. So many people in the world have it, yet you never would know. People are really good at putting on a front. Fake smiles, tear soaked pillows, sleepless nights.
Something good takes place, but still you can't wait to go to bed. Or in my case you sleep for 16 hours. There is absolutely no reason for the tiredness, but all you feel like doing is sleeping.
You have good days and then you have bad days. It can be months of good, and when it's good it is really good. As soon as depression shows it's ugly head everything gets really bad.
I know that after being depressed for so long, when things start getting good you realize something. It takes the bad days to show you how good things really are. Yes you have depression, but it's not the end.
Things will get better. It may take awhile, but things will eventually get better. No matter what you're thinking, you're life can not be all bad. There has to be something that makes you happy. Hold on to that when you are having bad days.
Remember even though you have depression and you're going through a rough patch, you will come out of it. You will be a better person. You will understand the world and yourself a little bit better.
Thank you all for reading my post and I hope that it helps someone understand that they are not alone.
