Financial Mayhem
Greetings!
It's been a while since my last post and thats got everything to do with financial stress.
My girlfriend and me just came back from townhall. Long story short. Because both of us are unable to work due to mental problems, and because Teddy comes from Sweden. We basically got told that there's a high chance that either Teddy will get shipped back to sweden if we apply for welfare, or we don't apply for welfare and neither her nor me get anything whatsoever.
Right now i'm getting around 900 euro's, but because we live together aparently we don't even have the right to that anymore. If Teddy was originally from Holland we'd be getting 1300 or so euro's. But she's from sweden so we get nothing or she gets deported. What kind of bull**** is that? I could understand if we need to keep going on with the 900 i get right now and nothing extra for her. But because we love eachother and want to live together, all of a sudden we get punished for it? What's the difference if they give 900 just to me or 900 to the both of us?
We followed the rules and signed her in, which honestly we didn't have to do, they'd never know she'd live with me if we didn't do this. But we're law abiding citicens, so you know, we did. Seems honestly has come back to bite us in the ass. I'm stressed and anxious as all hell atm. Luckily my dear mother is going to call the IND(our immigration services) and see if she can get some more positive news for us, as i don't feel able to do so right now.
Hopefully things aren't as bad as they seem. We'll have to see.

We live in a World where honesty is often punished whenever the state is remotely involved.
Then we wonder why dishonesty is so rife.
Is it because we are genetically backwards as a species...?
Or is it because moronic power-consolidating power structures turn us against each other at every opportunity and pressure us to form generations of liars? ¬_¬
Completely agree with your logic. EU900 for one person shouldn't penalize another person. I wonder if you can cancel the process and start anew with a blank slate...
I wonder what would happen if you 'both' went to Holland? Or even another nation? Look into your options.
Then mention casually to the authorities screwing you over that you hope that they don't mind full-page spreads in the newspapers exposing Swedish taxpayer's taxes at work.
That is one path... Another is to go quietly.
After all... Sweden is also a nation that breaks families and separates children from their parents for the crime of homeschooling...
