How To Delete Your Content On Steemit & DTube

Turns out you cannot delete or modify your content, and you cannot close your account. Hope you don't have any typos in your posts because once you've posted, that's it, it's in concrete - no changes, no deletions.

This then is the supposed "benefit" of their blockchain - wherein "blockchain" takes on new meaning - to block you and chain your content to their platform.

Blocked chain is the new "better" way they say.

Blocked chain is "immutable" they say. What goes on blocked chain stays on blocked chain.

The fallacy to all of this is that these bright geniuses have built in a flaw in which a huge amount of bloat will encumber their system. Ah but they say it's all out there on their IPFS file system distributed across the net and nobody has any of it but everyone has all of it.

Not a good strategy. I hope you're building warehouses of computers to store all the cruft you've invited into your platform, and now anyone has unlimited storage for whatever they want to upload into their magical "immutable" universe.
