Thank You, Steemian Supporters
I am writing this post today not to pat myself on the back but to share with you my vision of steemit. Also the 5 steemians I chose to support with more than 66.6% of my total Steem Power since I have joined the platform. And I have given away probably every SBD I have earned either in a contest or to the vote bot's to raise awareness of my contest or to vote other users to give them a boost.
I am here just like many of you in the hopes that one day Steemit can be a full time job and we can all interact and support each other. If we are honest with ourselves the basic concept of steemit has been lost. We have minnows fighting to support minnows, whales supporting whales and scammers supporting scammers. Thus is the circle jerk of life on steemit
I don't ask people to resteem my post to enter my contest, require them to upvote my post to win or that they follow me. I'm running a contest, I am not buying forced followers. I am not spamming comments. I try to interact with a large diverse group. I plan to continue lending my steem out personally and won't sell it to a bid bot as they have a habit of dropping spam links into the post of people who received votes with links to other items and it is down right garbage spam post promotion. I am not giving anything to people who DM or message me. I am not looking to be a charity hand out. I picked my delegations based on simple factors.
1.) Is the person adding something to steemit
2.) Are they building their account
3.) Are they spreading their votes out
4.) Do they interact
5.) Are they my wife
6.) Are they getting deserved support
7.) Do they seem like good humans
Everyone should look for these things in those they delegate to, except #5 as she is my wife only
I don't think people need over 500 SP delegated to them in order to help them grow, the ability to cast more votes is all they need.
These are the 5 people I delegated to in February, 5 people who now have sliders who did not before the delegation.
I challenge anyone to find fault with an account I picked, check each user out and let me know if I missed something
It is very easy to delegate in under 3 minutes on Steemworld.org and even faster to undelegate someone abusing their delegation, so if you are here for the community and believe steemit stands for what I do, gift a good creator a slider if you can.

"Are they my wife" nice one! 😂. Sadly steemit is changing lately but I still have hope in it, thanks to people like you. Hate the follow for follow bullcrap. What an awesome sauce you are handing out Eroded! Very cool, I hope to one day be in the position to also be able to delegate to deserving Steemians. Looking forward to a new contest to participate in too :D
I am by no means able to do so, it is a sacrifice I am making to better the place in a way that makes the most sense. More interaction, votes, readers, commenters and blogs all funded by part of the same wallet.
That is the true definition of Steemit and the idea of community

I see 6 sliders at .11 each doing much more good across steemit than mine at .66 cents. I can only read and up vote so much per day. Now it's like I am reading and voting 6 more times.
I absolutely loved number 5 on your list ... lol. I have to say, this is truly an amazing thing you are doing. It really goes a long way to help those starting out on steemit to feel the love and support from their community, especially if they are sharing good content.
I like the "Are they my wife?" question, because my husband is on Steemit but he never posts lol

Yes, he upvotes when he's on and comments. He spends a lot of time on Facebook in the Dollar Vigilante group, but he started following that group here first. He's the one who told me about Steemit last Spring.

I agree that most of us here in Steemit are looking forward to be a full time steemians, and that includes me. Seeing a posts like yours that hopes to fully develop steemit the way it is give hopes to steemians like me which is still a plankton. But according to our mentor @surpassinggoogle, we are all whales as we are contributing very well to steemit.

The only way we can all become whales and work on steemit is by cleaning up the neighborhood. It doesn't matter if your yard looks great if the neighbors have dead grass around them. It makes more sense for you to help them fix their yard than to have them buy you flowers to add to yours.
Unfortunately, not all of our neighbors wanted help in cleaning their yard. They don't care if they have the dirtiest yard, as long they are gaining a better interior, which we don't know how clean is it.
True enough if they are only looking out for themselves but the key is to make the neighborhood look nice for all who come to visit.
And I want to be part of that cleaning the neighborhood through sharing my learning.
And that should be what everyone is doing, thank you for doing your part.
