I've tested multiple times, but mostly with my public active key. Still got an error with the private. I'm assuming I should be using my private active key then?

EDIT: Same error with private key with Chrome.

Okay, now I know the reason! Thanks for your help to find it. I will edit this comment when I've fixed it. Yes, only the private key will work.

I've read that to stop a delegation simply edit the delegation to 0 SP and it will take 7 days to take effect. Is this still the case?

Yes and no. The delegatee will loose the SP immediately but you will get your SP in 7 days back. Till then it is being held in the "nothingness" of steem... ^^
