RE: Deep Thought Project - Is There an After Life
Einstein's quote has nothing to do with the subject and even opposes your argument. There is no soul or energy, it's all just molecules and chemistry. We rot in the earth, contributing to fertile soil and food for other creatures. That's where our energy goes, it's not lost.
Happy Easter! :-)
I used to think in the same way, but I don't think molecules and chemistry can explain the diversity of people. Sure we get some similar personalities but they still differ greatly.
Also why are we here one minute and gone the next, like in an instant.
Sure the energy which was used to create out flesh and bones is slowly returned to the earth, but what about the energy which makes us unique. Our lifeforce.
It can be explained though. I'm no expert in chemistry, biology, psychology and all the fields necessary for answering your questions, but you can do research and find valid explanations for everything. It makes no sense to just use god, magic or supernatural powers as explanation for everything we don't understand.
There are thousands of examples like that and it's a dangerous way of thinking.
The same applies to the concept of a lifeforce. What do you mean by it? The blood running through our veins? The memories stored through neurons and synapses in our brain?
There is no such thing as an invisible lifeforce mambo jambo, it has to be detectable or measurable in some way.
Hmm no I don't think it can be explained so simply. Like I said I don't believe in god or supernatural or super powers, but through my learning of science and the way things work this is what I believe and why.
There is so much we don't know, and throughout history beliefs change.
I mean we still can't replicate the building of the pyramids.
Maybe there is a higher entity, like I said I don't believe in god but how can all the universe come out of nothing?
The singularity as they put it.
By life force I mean the thing that is our consciousness.
Maybe we are just one big simulation, the ultimate game.
Lol you sound like a scientist by the way you wrote the last paragraph ;)
Btw Happy Easter :)
