RE: Deep Thought Project - Is There an After Life
I'll resteem this so my mate Dr Douglas sees it. He loves these types of discussions.
I believe there is an afterlife. I've been in several car accidents and my heart has stopped while I've been in the ambulance on the way to hospital. One time I was viewing the scene from above like a third person observing what was going on and the other time I was dead for a lot longer and I moved on to somewhere else.
I can't say it was heaven or hell and I didn't see any bright lights but it felt real at the time. The first time I tried DMT I was catapulted into that place & I had a meaningless OOBE experience. I had an overwhelming sense of Dejavu but I didn't take much from the experience.
The next time I tried DMT I had that familiar OOBE feeling before I fully broke through and then I was hurled into another realm that was just as real (sometimes in hindsight it seems more-so) than this one. I'd need several pages of text to even begin to convey what that was like.
I've had Aya a few times (DMT being one component of the mixture) and it was similar but a lot more earthly feeling and not quite as intense. I never had a really large dose though, so a bigger dose would have been like dying for sure.
I know all those experiences can be explained in a purely chemical context and the neurotransmitters responsible have all been identified but those experiences (The DMT, AYA and OOBE's) all seemed real to me.
I believe in life after death.
Thanks for the resteem m8 :)
Wow it sounds like you have had some crazy experiences in your life.
Yeah DMT is another psychotropic which can take you on that spiritual journey.
It is hard to tell if they take us to that other realm or if they just open up pathways in the brain which would never otherwise get used.
I think it's one of the greatest debates.
Would love to read about these experiences some time :)
I haven't had any of these experience you mentioned, but when I look at it from a scientific stand point I do believe there must be an after life. Maybe we live eternally free of the body or maybe we endlessly travel on a never ending cycle of life and death. If you believe in the multiverse theory then the second must be true.
