Good news keep coming to the DeepOnion community. Yesterday onions were listed on another stats site called Coingecko. Coingecko is a website that ranks cryptocurrencies(like coinmarketcap). This help to onions get known in crypto world and a lot of people prefer this website than coinmarketcap or others.

With hundreds of cryptocurrencies already out in the market and dozens more created each month, we at CoinGecko feel that it is really difficult to decide which altcoin to hold and invest in.

We feel that there is no proper quantitative way in trying to measure the worth of a coin. Current approaches to doing altcoin valuation mostly revolves around using market capitalization, a metric that is very easily manipulated by pre-mined coins.

CoinGecko aims to collect all the data required to quantitatively and qualitatively rank the potential of an altcoin. We plan to benchmark the coins based on our algorithm to determine how valuable a coin is compared to its peers.
