I'm sorry but I disagree - they are not trying to bring the markets down - they are shit scared of the consequences. Yes, they know its coming and I'm sure there are plans to retain control over what will not be happy citizens. The shit will hit the fan, sooner or later (and I believe they are hoping for later!), at which point they will pass on the costs to the 99% - decimating the middle class and further impoverishing the working class.
