Debunked: Governments fake aliens

in #debunked7 years ago (edited)

I am a big fan of conspiracy theories though I am not a big believer in them, really I just find it interesting to see the ideas people come up with and how they rationalize things. There are a lot of theories you can tell straight of that bat are just fiction but then there are some that are hard to disprove or prove and a small portion that turn out to be true. I am going to be posting a series of blogs discussing a range of theories and sharing my opinion on them.

There are millions of people around the world that believe we are being and have been visited by alien races for years. Reports depicting UFOs and aliens have been filed in almost every country around the world and there are tons of websites solely dedicated to keeping track of any information people can give about their experiences with UFOs or aliens.

I'm sure all of you have heard about objects such as the black knight or events such as the phoenix lights that are all well documented but one thing they all have in common is the fact that there is no confirmed cause. This is where the conspiracies come into play, people trying to find an explanation for seemingly unexplainable events.

One explanation people give is government propaganda and many people believe this because the government has gone to insane lengths to cover things up before and people say for every real government whistle blower there are ten fakes that the government send out to distract people and hide what is really happening.

Leaps in tech:

Some people argue that some governments must have found and taken apart alien ships and stolen tech from them and released it as their own inventions and there is know other way you can explain seemingly large jumps in some areas of government tech.

However people seem to often leave out the fact that governments, companies or whatever form of organization it may be have to design, create and test tech before they can release it to the public, there is also the legal side of people wanting to patent things before they are released. It also costs a lot of money to build, test and fix many forms of tech.

There is just so much that goes into putting ideas into fruition and there is so many areas to rely on if one thing in one area goes wrong it can stall things massively or make an entire project fall through. If you look at each area on its own firstly designing a new vehicle takes a lot of work and calculations and simulations before you even begin to build things. Then if the design is good enough you still have to bring in funding and you need a lot of money to start building any new vehicle and it could even be the case that you need tech in another area to advance before you can completely make whatever it may be. Then once something has been build it needs to go through various strenuous safety and functionality tests before it can be used.

People also like to make money from things they invent and a good way to maximize profit is to slowly release upgraded versions of things over time even though they could release a much better original version. So leaps in tech can be explained much more reasonable than us using tech from aliens and when you take into account everything these jumps in tech are far from being out of the blue.

Governments are secretive

Governments are known to have huge amounts of classified information in almost any area you could think of and when you have important information you can't just go around sharing it with everyone in the country and the rest of the world because it could cause mass panic and show a weakness to a country that you could be at war or have tension with.

When a government is testing a new vehicle, land, sea or air for the purpose of defense or offense they don't want the new tech they have created to be leaked as they want to stay one step ahead of anyone how could attack them or who they may attack.

This is where aliens come into play. People who believe in UFOs of alien origin and aliens visiting earth are often seen by the mainstream as crazy or delusional, so if a government wanted to hide the fact that they are testing new vehicles what better way than to say its aliens.

When people think something is aliens you have the believers doing all they can to prove that what they saw was in fact aliens because it would prove what they have believed for however long so it makes a good way to cover things up because it causes a huge distraction.

Then when people on the outside that don't believe in aliens or alien UFOs hear of a sighting they tend to steer clear of what they see as crazy people and as a result you get to test new vehicles in relative peace because the people that will look think it's aliens and the people that would otherwise look don't bother because they think it is all made up by crazy people.

Personally I think that aliens are a great way to cover up what you are really doing because it completely distracts believers and non believers and then if someone does get close to seeing what the government may be testing they can spark up some controversy that gets the alien believers debating and that keeps any prying eyes distracted because when they look for information they are only met with talks of aliens.

I think it also fits together quite nicely when you think that the vast majority of UFO sightings are in close proximity to military bases because what better place to test military tech than a military base. So I do think that a large part of alien conspiracies were originally fueled by governments to distract people.

Do you think governments do you aliens to cover things up? Or are you on the side of believing that it is actually aliens? Maybe you know something I haven't even thought of yet, either way let know in the comments, Upvote if you enjoyed and follow for more.

This post gets a thumbs-up from me. The US Government has definitely used the UFO legend for disinformation purposes. And it serves another purpose too, because (in the eyes of the general public) it discredits everyone who believes UFOs are piloted by extraterrestrials.

"Exhibit A" for the use of the UFO legend as disinformation has to be the case of Paul Bennewitz, who the USAF eventually drove into a nervous breakdown by feeding him lies about visitors from outer space.

The various UFO investigations carried out for US defence bodies -- from Project Blue Book onwards -- have all been inconclusive. Eventually, defence chiefs just stopped worrying about the phenomenon, since it didn't appear to be a threat. But they found they were able to capitalise on the widespread public fascination with things seen in the sky, and they have milked that potential for all it is worth.

Thanks. I hadn't much though about how there are a lot of people who believe in UFOs that aren't anything to do with aliens because there are still tons of UFO sightings globally that are left unexplained and forgotten. I love a good mystery and UFOs are really one of the best out there and one of the best bits about a mystery is solving it and I don't know if we ever will solve the majority of UFO mysteries and I would put a big part of that down to the government fueling alien conspiracies.
