Thirteen deaths in four districts

Ten people were killed by lightning during the storm, Sirajganj, Naogaon, Noakhali, and Magura. At least seven others were injured in the attack. News and news correspondents sent

Kazipur (Sirajganj) correspondent said, Kazi Upazila Degree Tekani village. Shamsul Haque (55) and his son Arman Hossain, 14, a student of class 6, were killed in lightning. They died in lightning when they got brown from the field around 9 am.

Kamarkhand (Sirajganj) correspondent said that a farmer named Kader Hossain (37) was killed by lightning in Kamarkhand. This incident happened on Sunday at around 10:30 am near the house of the victim. Kader Hossain is the son of late Ahaer Mandal of Peitkura village under Jamtail union of the upazila.

Shahjadpur (Sirajganj) correspondent told that during the storm, Nabil (17), son of Faruq Khan and Polin (15), son of Rashedul Islam of the Upazila six-village village, died. Four more people were injured in the attack.

Naogaon correspondent told that the lightning struck in Shamaldanga Ramashram village under Sappahar upazila of Naogaon. A housewife named Sonawan (24) died. Three others were injured during the incident. Sonawan is Rubel Hossain's wife in the village. The injured were identified as Rubel Hossain, 28, neighbor Saleha Bibi, 42, and Raju Hossain, 12.

Noakhali correspondent said that Iqbal Hasnat Pial, a seventh-grade student of Noakhali district unit, died in lightning on Sunday noon at Lakshminarayanpur village of Noakhali Municipality. He is the eldest son of Sohel Rana Juge of the village. Peal and some of his classmates were playing cricket on the field beside their home. When the storm began to rain at the time, his classmates, along with Peal, ran for safe shelter. At one stage, when Peal brought his shoes to the field, he died in lightning.

Magura correspondent said three people died in lightning at Magura Sadar, Akkur Para and Raigram and Shonkhali Bunagati villages. They are Shamim, the driver of Akkur Para, Alam, son of Abdur Rashid of BLUGram and Mehdi, son of Alam Mia of Monpura area of Joypurhat. While traveling from Magura to Sreepur, the van driver Shamim, working on a mobile phone tower in Alam and Sayalkhara Bunagati area on the way to Magura, Mehdi died due to the thunderstorm.
