DEA Agents face decade in jail over Strip Club Lie.

A former Drug Enforcement Administration supervisor and another employee of the agency were convicted by a Manhattan federal jury on Thursday of lying about secretly running a raunchy strip club in Hackensack, NJ.
Retired DEA agent David Polos now faces up to 10 years prison, and ex-DEA telecom specialist Glen Glover faces up to 15, for lying on federal paperwork about their interest in Twins Plus Go-Go Lounge, the jury found.

The two sat stone-faced in a federal courthouse in Lower Manhattan as they were convicted, after only three hours of deliberations, of making false statements and conspiracy to make false statements.

The club employed illegal immigrants from Brazil and Russia as dancers and was notorious for allowing sex in the private lap dance rooms, the feds had alleged in announcing the pair’s arrest back in May, 2015.

Polos and Glover would supervise the club via computer and smartphone apps during paid DEA shifts, and lied on government paperwork by claiming they did not have outside employment, the feds charged.

The two condoned illegal activity at the all-cash, off-the-books club, and covered up their involvement when filling out federal security and background forms, the feds charged.

Polos was an assistant special agent-in-charge who supervised the New York Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force. Glover was a telecommunications specialist.

They remain free on bail; a sentencing date has not been set pending the outcome of motions both have filed in hopes of reversing the conviction.

“Dave’s a hero DEA agent. We respect the jury’s verdict but we don’t think he committed any crime,” said Polos’ lawyer, Marc Mukasey:

“I’m pretty shocked by the verdict,” said Glover’s lawyer, Cathy Fleming. “Disappointed in the verdict, but fortunately, judges get to take a second look.”
