Dos nuevas empresas de criptomonedas acordaron registrar los tokens de sus Ofertas Iniciales de Monedas (ICOs) en respuesta a sanciones impuestas por la Comisión de Bolsa y Valores (SEC) de los Estados Unidos.
En un comunicado de prensa publicado en la página oficial de la SEC, este viernes 16 de noviembre se dio a conocer que el organismo impuso multas civiles a las Ofertas Iniciales de Moneda de dos firmas: CarrierEQ Inc., conocida también como Airfox, y Paragon Coin Inc., las cuales llevaron a cabo la venta de sus fichas en el año 2017. De acuerdo a la información suministrada, la primera recaudó un total de US$ 15 millones, mientras que Paragon Coin recaudó US$ 12 millones.
La entidad reguladora de Estados Unidos señalo que ninguna de las empresas mencionadas registró sus ICO como ofertas de valores, y tampoco calificaron para exenciones de registro, razón por la cual se aplicaron sanciones, las cuales dichas firmas no han admitido ni rechazado. En cumplimiento de ellas, ambas deberán no solo registrar sus tokens como valores, sino también reembolsar el dinero a sus inversionistas; además, entregar informes a la SEC cada cierto tiempo y pagar US$ 250,000 en multas cada una.
