RE: Files.Fm: The Community-Oriented Data Sharing Protocol

in #database6 years ago

this is one of the best things I've seen from this space yet, though the files.fm community, I'm pretty sure, will be given a run for their money in light of platforms like NextCloud, so we'll have to see how this goes.

Unlike NextCloud, the Files.Fm ecosystem is built upon an underlying blockchain technology that unlocks certain features which are naturally beyond the reach of conventional cloud technologies. Such features as a smart contract/consensus mechanism that allows for the initiation of any transaction between two parties on the platform, tokenization as well as the decentralization attributes makes Files.Fm steps ahead of it’s peers.

I was looking at it. It's pretty impressive, so I can't quite discover a way to get up there yet. I'll have to look more. It's very quiet at work today, but still.

You should take a much closer look and maybe participate in the upcoming Intital coin Offering scheduled to take place on Friday, 1st of March, 2019 by getting whitelisted for the crowdsale via this link: https://files.fm/library/

This is going to be interesting, because I've never participated in one of these before. I've never found a means to justify the cost of paying for the sort of thing with real money. What if it doesn't work out? I would lose a ton of money.

What is life without risks? We never know right?

Point taken. Indeed.

But I can assure you the Files.Fm Library crowdfunding would provide a guaranteed return on investment.

What currency do I need to get some? I wasn't following.
