The Lightcaller Chronicles: Part 4

Ok, so the last thing that I remembered was Manshoon confronting me while I was chained up then pure darkness. It confused me there, I thought that I was dead. Normally I can see in the dark perfectly fine but this was different. It was like I was in a void and there was nothing there.

After what felt like days something changed. It was almost like there was a pressure in the air, then next thing I know I was somewhere else. It was dark, but I could make out cave walls, and treasure, lots of treasure. It smelt like I was in a tomb and would you know it just to my left was a coffin. It looked like I was transported to some unknown tomb.

Once I got my head straight and adjusted to my surroundings I started to look for a way out. I figured I should find a way out before I grab myself some loot, you know for the troubles and to cheer me up a little bit.

I searched for what felt like hours, but was unable to find any means of escaping this tomb that I was trapped in. Since I was stuck there figured I might as well take a look at the coffin and see if I could figure out who my new roommate was going to be until I died in here.

I created some light to better read the inscription on the coffin and moved closer. However as soon as I got near the treasure around it I stopped. I thought I could hear some faint sounds coming from the wall to my left. After waiting for a couple of minutes, straining my ears to hear, I moved on to the coffin and treasure.

Once I got near and just about close enough to read the writing on it my foot bumped one of the piles of gold on the floor. As soon as I did that the lid of the coffin came flying of it and out of it shambled a figure wrapped in cloth. As soon as I got a whiff of that dry smell of decay I knew what it was, a mummy.

I backed up as far as I could till my back was against the wall and hit it with a ray of frost. Other then a little bit of ice on its arm it didn't seem to be affected at all. Next I tried a splash of acid, which other then dissolving some of its wrappings and giving me a glimpse of its withered and decayed flesh, did nothing at all. Next I tried some fire again to no avail. I was just about to give up hope and resign myself to a painful and unpleasant death when a section of the wall behind the mummy just disappeared.

That's when I saw my chance, I darted past the mummy taking a hit that almost knocked me to the ground and booked it to the hole. Just as I was about to run through out comes this person in full plate mail holding the biggest sword I have ever seen. He takes one look at me says "Stand aside." and steps towards the mummy. As he is walking up to the undead his sword erupts in bright divine energy and is humming to my senses. It takes him not even a full ten seconds before he has reduced this thing to dust.

As he turns to look at me a mist starts creeping in around me, ignoring him and his companions coming in through the tunnel. He looks at me says "Whats going on" and the world fades away.

Little did I know that the next thing that I was going to see was the Death House and my adventure was just going to start.....
