Dungeons & A Completed Side Quest
Had a fun session of D&D tonight. Everything went fairly well but we blew through everything I had prepared at a very rapid pace. Shockingly the group encountered a problem and didn't immediately attack it. I was quite impressed.
I gave the players a bunch of loot tonight and went out of my way to reward players for solving problems. I will need to do more rewarding of creative play and solving problems moving forward because I think it will be a way to help keep the players engaged more in the sessions when there isn't any combat going on.
I also gave each player a brief "vision" into the future. I gave no context for the info they were given so I'm interested to see how each player handles their vision. I really enjoy giving players information privately so they can do what they please with it. Sometimes I have to remind them about certain things that were said previously but overall it really improves the sessions.
I'm exciting to start pushing the story forward and hopefully have some fun times in the dungeon!
