Though one thing important on Steemit are the copyrights. It's important to use material you have a copyright for, so not just "Hey I found this picture on the Internet".
Safest ways are using your own photos, photos which are actually free to use (Creative commons something.. free for commercial use) like photos from Pixabay.com or just having permission from somewhere else.
When using other peoples material, it's important to add sources and image credits (or if you have copied something from an article or similar), making it clear you aren't creator of the content.
Make sure people know what is made by you and what is from somewhere else.
