Red Amaryllis - Day 50 - Daily Haiku

Red amaryllis
almost maroon it stands, in
stark contrast to green

Part of my Christmas present to Marek, I gave him what were supposed to be a red and a white amaryllis, representing the colors of the Polish flag. Upon blooming, however, both turned out to be red, with the second one a much deeper color than the first. Oops.

Luckily, he loves them anyway, so yay! I took this photo this afternoon with my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phone.
