Miss Foodie #010 - 1st Try on Quinoa
I've always saw my friends (who are very into fitness and healthy eating), posting about having quinoa as their post-workout meal, lunch or dinner.
They look like small rice and a lil tasteless to me, but as I googled more on this superfood, I then realised how much benefit it brings compared to white rice.
In short, it is a plant food, and it is high in protein and fibre, and contain less carbohydrates than normal rice.
I had my first try the other day, as my friend were recommending me to try some food on a new food truck business.
Verdict:
Taste really good! Love how they mix the barley in it, and as a mushroom lover, how can you say no to sauteed mushroom?
