Daily food photography #2 foodphotography : HEALTHY SNACKING WITH CRISPY CRUNCHY FREEZE DRIED VEGE
A food that can be enjoyed by everyone anytime anywhere, perhaps in space or on the moon.
I enjoyed very much munching these foods during and in between meals or while travelling anywhere on this planet. I've learned to systematically forgo processed artificial food worthy as a garbage. They are what people call garbage in and garbage out.
This photo taken at home displaying some of my collection of Freeze dried vege : Lady's finger, Bitter Gourd and Seaweed with sesame seed.
Some advantages of freeze dried food are:
It is very convenient.
Freeze-dried fruits and vegetables are very light and are easy to transport. Many backpackers and hikers rely on freeze-dried fruits and vegetables for a quick energy boost. They are easy to eat, and freeze drying makes them smaller than their whole form, which allows travelers to pack several pouches at one time. Freeze-dried fruits and vegetables are also convenient ways to supplement meals, and they make healthy snacks for on the go as well.It is very long-lasting
Another benefit to freeze-dried fruits and vegetables is that they last for a long period of time without going stale. Hikers and backpackers rely on freeze-dried fruits and vegetables when they are on trips that last longer than a day because they provide access to the nutrients in produce without worrying about fresh versions going bad.As an emergency food
Freeze-dried foods are healthy choices to include in emergency packs because you do not need to worry that they will go bad before you need them. Freeze-dried fruits and vegetables can be stored in your car on long road trips in case you break down without close access to stores or gas stations. Freeze-dried fruits and vegetables can also be stored in large amounts in cities or towns that are susceptible to hurricanes, floods or tornadoes to ensure that residents have access to nutritious foods during the recovery phase. They can also be sent to areas devastated by natural disasters as a way to offer assistance. As a prepper it is an excellent choice, in preparation for times of uncertainty .It is very nutritious
Fresh fruits and vegetables contain a good spectrum of essential vitamins and minerals, and portions of these nutrients are not lost in the freeze-drying process. Freeze-dried produce is also low in calories. Many freeze-dried versions of your favorite fruits and vegetables are high in vitamin C, such as bell peppers, which contain almost 31 mg of this nutrient. Freeze-dried fruits and vegetables also supply a healthy amount of fiber, beta-carotene and potassium.
One disadvantage is the cost which is due to the expensive machinery and technology used in the production.
However, for those who are not lazy and inspired enough to stay healthy, these food can actually be prepared at home much cheaply.

Really interesting post! I've got a machine to dry the food such as fruit or vegetables. I usually don't freeze them after the drying process, but vacuum-seal.
Please upvote my last post, too!
That's one simple way of doing it at home. However at more commercial and industrial standard freeze drying has more advantages.
Reasons as below:
"Freeze-drying cause less damage to the substance than other dehydration methods using higher temperatures. Freeze-drying does not usually cause shrinkage or toughening of the material being dried. In addition, flavours, smells and nutritional content generally remain unchanged, making the process popular for preserving food. However, water is not the only chemical capable of sublimation, and the loss of other volatile compounds such as acetic acid (vinegar) and alcohols can yield undesirable results.
Freeze-dried products can be rehydrated (reconstituted) much more quickly and easily because the process leaves microscopic pores. The pores are created by the ice crystals that sublimate, leaving gaps or pores in their place. This is especially important when it comes to pharmaceutical uses. Freeze-drying can also be used to increase the shelf life of some pharmaceuticals for many years."
Thanks for the good feedback @foodart

Oh, freeze-dried veggies have been a game-changer for me! I used to struggle with finding healthy snacks that were both convenient and satisfying. The crispy, crunchy texture of freeze-dried vegetables is perfect for snacking, especially when you're on the go. My personal favorite has to be freeze-dried passion fruit.
I remember one time during a long road trip, I packed a bag of freeze-dried snacks, and the passion fruit was the highlight. Its tangy, sweet flavor kept my energy up and my taste buds happy, plus it's super light and mess-free. If you haven't tried it yet, definitely check out Freeze dried passion fruit for a tasty treat that's as healthy as it is delicious.
