Haha people tend to think chickens are dumb, and in a way, they kind of are, but they DO need things to do or they get destructive. They have enough intelligence to need things to do to keep from being bored. Glad you found something to keep them busy!
Love the composting idea! I bet that area makes a great garden later on!
