News!

1. What? What's all this about?

I know, I know, a new account posting @zpedro's usual charity posts? That's right, it's @zpedro writing. I'll explain you why in a moment. But first I need to start by the beginning:

• @helgapn had the amazing idea of writing a post about her childhood on São Tomé e Príncipe and will donate the SBD payouts to this charity account.

• @casberp gave the idea of gathering some more people to donate the SBD payouts of a post per week to this project. Thanks to @tmarisco, project @ptgram agreed to help with their curation trail! And we created the tag #dailycharity and this account.

• So everyday we will have at least one donation post! By default from now on until the 30th June, the last day of this fundraising, the following users will be writing posts!

2. Current funds

I @zpedro will continue with the last resteem and win contest and will reveal the winners on Thursday. As for this account, the SP accumulated will be used to upvote every #dailycharity post, so we will not promote SBI shares as it doesn't fit the nature of this account.

As for the donations, this week we had several kind donations!
@cicisaja donated 1 STEEM by refusing her prize for a SBI share!
@aleisted donated 2 SBD!
and
@warnas donated 1 SBD!

Let's not forget the already mentioned donations of @simplymike who donated 3 SBD, and @tmarisco who is helping A LOT (she's just GREAT!) this fundraising and donated 1 SBD as well!

You'll say this is not much. And that's true, it's not much. But we're making huge progresses thanks to everyone I mentioned above, and @ptgram, and @casberp, and many many others. This is truly great!

3. Other developments

Thanks to @helgapn we're making several contacts with handcrafted clothing stores in São Tomé. Our idea is to have everything as ready as possible before leaving to São Tomé.

Some users asked how will I (@zpedro) prove I actually handed the goods to the kids. There's only one answer: I don't know yet. I'll take photos of the goods and of the receipt if I'm given one. But as with every charity project, in the end you'll just have to trust me.
