Cold War 2.0?
Now that the American backed Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces have reached the eastern river bank at Deir ez Zur is this the new Cold War as their face off the Russian backed arab army on the opposite bank? In no uncertain terms the Kurds have stated they will not tolerate Assad's army to cross the Euphrates. The manoeuvre has created a new pocket to the north where daesh has been completely isolated.
