It looks quite similar to cycling in Taiwan, we have many tracks along old railway lines. If you enjoy cycling you can consider cycling around Taiwan island sometime, that's very popular. The whole route is just over 1000km and takes about 9 days .
I will have to look into that. Always wanted an excuse to visit taiwan and that seems like a good one. I would probably try something a little shorter.

In that case you can always just cycle the east coast that's the best part anyway.
Your pictures make me wish I could cycle (I am not very coordinated) it looks so serene and a great way to see the natural beauty of a country.
