Anyone can now buy insurance policy against cyber crime
Through this, the company has to help people using the internet and e-commerce privately.
new Delhi. For the first time you can personally purchase insurance against cyber crime. It will include losses due to online fraud, identity theft, cyber stocking and recovery, fishing and malware attacks.
This Cyber Safe Policy has been introduced by Bajaj Allianz General Insurance. Through this, the company has to help people using the internet and e-commerce privately. Let's say that cyber-liability cover for business has been in the market for many years.
But, so far no one could buy it personally for himself. Bajaj Alliance's Managing Director and CEO Tapan Singhal said that this is the first of its kind, which has been designed keeping in mind the growing and changing hazards for the customers.
Pocket cutting was the biggest threat to a few decades ago. In this period, the policy covering cover against pockets will not work because the big threat is cyber crime. Tapan said that in today's digital period, a lot of data is being stored and the exchange is also being done. This has led to cyber threats too.
The policy will insure up to one lakh to one crore rupees, but the company has not provided any information about its premium so far. Officials said that the premium will be decided on how much time a person spends time online.
