There is a quote that says: Curiosity killed the cat and to which I would say: The cat died nobly.
Permit me to link curiosity to being sensitive. When you are curious about a thing, it shows you want to know, and when you seek to know, it shows you are sensitive to certain things and not acting nonchalantly.
It is not a crime to be curious.
Being curious is way too different from being nosy. Being nosy, to me means, you always want to know things that have nothing to do with you and adds no value to you or others. Whereas being curious means you always want to know things because you want to add value to yourself and to others. It seeks to fix what is broken, it seeks to bring into existence what could have been or what can be made possible.
Most things that we have or most innovative ideas we see are borne out of curiosity. It was recently I got to know that Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright; Wright brothers were the first to fix wing aircraft at Kitty Hawk, in North Carolina in 1903.
I am sure they couldn’t understand why only birds fly and they couldn’t. It wasn't a discovery only to benefit them, but to add value to themselves and to others.
I can imagine if Michael Faraday decided not to be a little bit curious, then light bulbs that we have now wouldn’t have been a reality and he was curious to know what could be made possible and he did it.
Fear sometimes hinders us from being curious. No one wants to fail, no one wants to be laughed at, no one wants to feel defeated. We are sometimes not sure what we are going to find, so we cut that aspect of our lives, like someone said, “If you ask the question, be very sure you are ready for the answer.”
You can’t be held back by fear of failure if you need to stretch your curiosity side. Being curious means you seek to know, and the question should be, ”What do you intend to do with what you want to know; what you are curious about?”
It is good to be curious, but the question is, what are we curious about? What are we seeking to know and to what purpose? We need to search our hearts.
Everything is about balance in life, you need to strike a balance between being curious and being nosy.
Thank you for your time.

It is always good to be curious, as curious brings to our focus what needed to be known Curiosity helps us survive. The urge to explore and seek other people's attention which helps us remain vigilant and gain knowledge about our constantly changing environment, which may be why our brains evolved to release dopamine and other feel-good chemicals when we encounter new things.
Curious people are happier since they always feel alive and never have course to be tied down in a position. They relate with people and seek knowledge where it could be found without dwelling on what they know alone, they always strive to Make things happen.
You are absolutely right brother, curiosity is different from being poke nosing, in the sense that, we tend to learn new things when we are curious, but being poke nosing, is always about gossiping around on matters that doesn't relate to oneself.
I love the way you moved the extra mile in explaining what being curious is all about. I always enjoy your detailed comments. Well done brother.
Thanks brother, I appreciate you more. You are making us proud, I love that about you.

Curiosity helps us survive. The urge to explore and seek novelty helps us remain vigilant and gain knowledge about our constantly changing environment.
Research has shown curiosity to be associated with higher levels of positive emotions, lower levels of anxiety, more satisfaction with life, and greater psychological well-being. Of course, it may be, at least partially, that people who are already happier tend to be more curious, but since novelty makes us feel good (see above), it seems likely that it goes the other direction as well.
Curiosity boosts achievement. Studies reveal that curiosity leads to more enjoyment and participation in school and higher academic achievement, as well as greater learning, engagement, and performance at work. It may seem like common sense, but when we are more curious about and interested in what we are doing, it’s easier to get involved, put effort in, and do well.
Curiosity can expand our empathy. When we are curious about others and talk to people outside our usual social circle, we become better able to understand those with lives, experiences, and worldviews different than our own. Next time you have the chance to talk with a stranger, especially someone who may be quite dissimilar to you, try engaging with them on a personal level (respectfully, of course) and showing them that you are interested in what they have to say.
Woooow!. Another detailed one. This is amazing. Thanks a lot for this. I enjoyed it and i appreciate it.
Haha I loved this, I prefer that my mind opens up moved by curiosity to be closed moved by conviction. (Gerry Spence)
The youth of a being is not measured by the years it has, but by the curiosity it stores. Fortunately, nature has endowed me with an irrational curiosity even for the smallest things. That saves me. Curiosity is the only thing that keeps me afloat. Everything else sinks me. Oh! And the vocation. I do not know if I would be able to live without her.
Hahahahahahaha curiousity keeps you afloat, i love it. There is nothing bad with exploring. Thanks a lot my friend for this. I always appreciate you.
Curiousity is the reason why we have a world full of inventions. It all begins with a question.
A desire to discover the unknown and delve into new realms.
But remember, too much of everything is bad. We must maintain our curiosity within certain boundaries else we enter into realms that can destroy us.
Exactly, balance is needed. Curiosity is the mother of invention, and it all begins with a question.
Thanks a lot brother, always appreciated.
Its okay to be curious but not to be nosy, you can know whatever you want to know with patience. Answers do come at times that you dont expect it again and at times when you just watch things
Exactly, we should always be ready to strike the balance and separate curiosity from being nosy.
Thanks a lot brother.
