Curator Application Updates

Here are just a few updates which has happened over the past week for curators & top curators ( recommendation ) .

Guidelines for all curators updated as of 4th Feb 2018

  1. Verified and engaged authors only who have been consistent without much success of late. Focus is on new authors who have made few good posts, but haven't been discovered yet. Curie is unlikely to vote for the same author more than once (especially in quick succession) or for the high REP author unless the post is truly exceptional.

  2. Posts must be more than 150 minutes old, but less than 24 hours, with maximum $10 pending payout.

  3. Only original content. Articles, art, poetry, videos, recipes, etc. that appear first on Steemit. (I.e. no reposts of older work) Please check for plagiarism and reposting before submitting. Content must be exceptional and unique.

  4. No Steemit-related, religious or political posts.

  5. Submission limits are dictated by curator's performance the previous week, according to these tiers (the numbers below are weekly limits) -
AR =>90 and top 4 curators with highest CS - Unlimited submissions [Those with unlimited submissions will be required to maintain at least a 75% approval rate at all times, mid-week. Min time limit for top curators is 45 minutes.]
In case of a tie, curator who had higher CS previous week will be in the top.
    CS =>2.5 to <7 - 15 submissions
CS <2.5 and new curators - 5 submissions
Curators with at least 8 submissions in a calendar month are required to maintain 50% AR at the end of each month, otherwise they will be restricted from proposing. Curators who had 15 submissions will keep the same limit if they maintain 100% AR with 2 or less submissions.
Cumulative CS >200, AR >95 over 6 months earns a direct follow from @curie.

  6. English posts only.

Finder's fee is 10 Steem per approved post.

Guidelines for Curator Recommendations - Feb 4th

  1. Only curators with AR >=90 and top 4 highest CS (i.e. the top tier) will be able to recommend new curators.
  2. If the new curator can maintain a CS => 1 for any 4 weeks over a period of 6 weeks from the week of recommendation, the recommender will receive a 150 Steem reward for each curator recommended. In these six weeks, the new curator can have two weeks without CS; however if they have a CS it must exceed 1 for all weeks. If the new curator can maintain AR >=90 and a top curator spot for 4 consecutive weeks within the first 6 weeks, the recommender will receive a 500 Steem recommendation fee.
  3. There's a limit of 1 new curator recommendation per week, who will start off with 5 submissions per week.
  4. The new curator recommended must be a bonafide and engaged member of the Steem community. (I.e. no sockpuppets, nepotism etc.)
  5. Top curators may develop their own process for selection and mentoring, and can use #curie to solicit applications for curators. Once you'd like to recommend someone please post in #general curie and inform @bitrocker2020. Once the new curator is verified by a reviewer, they'll be added to the platform.
  6. Reviewers and curators with a direct follow can also recommend curators without needing to maintain a CS.
  7. If a reviewer recommends a new curator, a different reviewer must review the submissions.

Do read the guideline and if you have further questions, do join the discord channel https://discord.gg/jQtWbfj

Thank you for the info. Only today I truly understand after reading the whole post.

Especially this.

No Steemit-related, religious or political posts.

Thank you

Yeap .. curators do have a hard time finding exceptional posts just with these guidelines . So my hats off to the top curators each week

Hello @bitrocker2020. You have been nominated for a Steemit Star by @elizacheng in this post:
https://steemit.com/steemitstar/@elizacheng/my-nomination-for-steemit-star-awards-our-very-own-team-malaysia-big-brother-bitrocker2020
Steemit Star is a program I started to recognize individuals/groups that have a positive progressive impact on the community. If chosen for this award I would need to know what you would like as a trophy head to represent yourself. I see that you have a signature on your posts with a graphic:
bitr.jpg
I can model that as the trophy head or you can choose a different symbol/image to represent yourself.
If I do not hear back from you and you are chosen I will just place a star as the trophy head. Hope to hear back from you and congratulations on your nomination!!
